Our state has made much progress and unlike other states, the opportunities and possibilities are endless. However, like many other states, we have numerous challenges as we attempt to create a better way of life for our people and an economy that works for all our citizens. This is why I have chosen to run for Senate District 22.
In 2016, we’re grappling with many of the same challenges we faced at the beginning of the last legislative session.
There is a critical need to improve innovation, infrastructure, and our education system so South Carolina can compete globally.
My vision is of a South Carolina that begins to strategically and aggressively invest in our infrastructure through road and highway improvements and the deepening/expansion of our ports...a vision where our business community understands that a healthy Carolina is a productive Carolina.
Together, we can bridge the divide of what separates us to create a quality of life that each person in Senate District 22 can enjoy.
As your Senator, my goal will be to continue to work with my colleagues and community to tackle this list of priorities:
Roads and Infrastructure Investment
Parity in Healthcare
Domestic Violence Prevention
